Fitting Your Oil Cap
Locate your Oil Filler Cap
While looking at the engine the oil cap is usually noted with a label or engraving that says "OIL" or "710".
Note: The engine should be completely off and cooled down before starting.
Remove Oil Cap
Remove the Oil Cap by gripping the cap tightly and unscrewing it counter clockwise (left) to unscrew the oil cap. Once loose, life the cap off an set it aside. Before putting in the new cap any debris should be removed before refitting the new cap. Cleaning the surface is advised if oil residue is present. BEWARE of any foreign objects falling into the engine oil.
Installing your Turbosmart Oil Cap
Take the new oil cap out of the packaging. The Oil cap comes fitted with a blank with the correct O-Rings in place as well as locating screw. The new oil cap is tightened in a clockwise direction ensuring the bottom O-Ring remains held captive. Avoid over tightening. Congratulations your oil cap is now fitted.
OPTIONAL: Installing your Turbosmart Oil Cap Custom Centre
The Turbosmart Oil caps with a customisable centre allowing users to have different options for their oil cap weather that be for returning Oil or a breather setup. The middle section is easily swapped with removing the M4 screw and pushing the middle section out of the top. Picture here is a blank being swapped with the Female 1/8 NPT. Blue Loctite should be used on the M4 and Torqued to 3N.m.

Troubleshooting
- Oil Cap Leaking, Cap is not tight enough and or missing, ensure all O-rings are present.
